Are you a proactive and detail-driven Accountant looking to make a meaningful difference? This respected education provider, based in Greenacre, is known for its commitment to continuous improvement, ethical leadership, and community values. With a complex financial environment and a forward-thinking leadership team, they’re now seeking an experienced Accountant to take the reins on financial reporting, systems enhancement, budgeting, audit, and compliance.
The Position:
This is a hands-on, full-time opportunity for someone who thrives on variety and wants to play a key role in strategic and operational decision-making. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, contribute to organisational goals, and lead improvements across financial systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver accurate and timely financial and management reports.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management processes.
- Manage tax obligations (GST, FBT) and year-end statutory accounts.
- Oversee payroll processing, salary packaging, PAYG and superannuation compliance.
- Optimise and integrate financial systems, including TASS.
- Lead grant acquittals and reporting for government funding.
- Develop and improve finance policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Liaise with external auditors, banks, and other stakeholders.
- Mentor junior finance staff and support continuous improvement initiatives.
The Candidate:
- CA or CPA qualified (or near completion)
- Tech-savvy with strong Excel skills
- A solid understanding of AASB standards and financial governance
- A detail-oriented approach with a high level of integrity
- Confident communicator who can build rapport at all levels
- Committed to compliance and upholding child protection policies (WWCC required)
