Accounts Receivable Officer – Part-Time | Blacktown Area | $36.20/hour + super | 12-Month Temp
 
The Company
Looking for a role close to home with flexibility that still offers challenge and variety? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a national business with a strong footprint in the distribution space. Based in their head office in the Blacktown region, you’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive finance team that takes pride in what they do. This is a 12-month maternity leave cover, working 5 days per week, 6 hours per day – ideal for someone looking to balance work and life without compromising on a quality role.
 
The Role
Reporting to the Credit Manager, you'll be a key player in the day-to-day running of the receivables function. Your duties will include, but won’t be limited to:
  • Managing the accounts inbox
  • Processing customer payments and allocations
  • Assisting with month-end banking
  • Supporting the sales team to ensure timely order processing and release
  • Responding to internal and external customer enquiries
  • Preparing and sending customer statements
  • Handling collection calls and follow-up emails
  • Processing credit notes
  • Reconciling aged accounts and following up on outstanding debt
 
The Candidate
You’ll be someone who thrives in a team environment and enjoys a hands-on role. Ideally, you’ll bring:
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable or credit
  • A high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Confidence to pick up the phone and build rapport
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to help out where needed
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
