The Role:
Reporting to a down-to-earth and supportive Credit Manager, you’ll take full ownership of your ledger and play a key role in managing credit risk and maintaining healthy cash flow. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing your own end-to-end ledger
- Proactively collecting and following up on overdue accounts
- Reducing DSO and improving payment cycles
- Conducting credit checks and opening new accounts
- Managing credit holds and releases
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external clients
- Reconciling customer accounts and handling disputes promptly
- Flagging potential cash flow concerns early
- Ensuring master data is up to date and accurate
- Assisting with month-end close and ensuring the subledger aligns with the GL
The Candidate:
You're an experienced Credit professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You're confident, organised, and not afraid to pick up the phone. You enjoy problem-solving and take pride in building positive relationships with customers and internal teams. To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrated credit experience (ideally in a high-volume or manufacturing environment)
- A results-driven approach with the ability to effectively manage and reduce DSO
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities
- Confidence in liaising with key stakeholders and customers
- A proactive mindset and a keen eye for detail
- SAP experience (highly regarded but not essential)
