We’re partnering with a leading organisation in the pharmaceutical industry to recruit a capable and confident HR Advisor. This is a rare opportunity to step into a true generalist role that offers development, ownership, and the chance to make a meaningful impact across a commercial and support services workforce.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the HR Director – Pacific Region, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to managers across commercial divisions. You’ll provide guidance and hands-on support across the full employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on industrial relations and performance management.
This is a broad HR generalist position ideal for someone with strong foundational experience, looking to deepen their expertise in complex ER/IR matters while gaining exposure to strategic HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end support on performance management, investigations, and IR matters
- Advising and coaching people leaders across the business on HR best practice
- Managing recruitment, workforce planning, onboarding and offboarding
- Coordinating remuneration reviews, salary letters, and benchmarking
- Policy development and updates in line with current legislation
- Contributing to key projects in engagement, talent, and leadership development
- Supporting the broader P&C team on annual cycles and L&D initiatives
- Maintaining accurate records in Workday and providing reporting where needed
About You
We’re looking for someone who is confident, curious, and commercially minded, with the ability to influence and guide senior stakeholders. You’ll bring:
- Previous experience in a HR generalist role
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and award interpretation
- Demonstrated experience managing ER/IR issues and performance processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and a proactive mindset
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to work with ambiguity
- Advanced Excel skills desirable
- Experience with Workday or familiarity with the Hay Grading remuneration tool is advantageous
