About the Role As the Shipping & Logistics Coordinator, you’ll manage the full import and export process, ensuring smooth coordination of shipments, freight requirements, and delivery schedules. You’ll handle all documentation, compliance, and stakeholder communication—keeping everything moving efficiently and on time.
This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll work closely with the trading team, suppliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.

Key Responsibilities Shipping & Freight Coordination
  • Book shipments with shipping lines, airlines, and freight forwarders
  • Manage customs clearance and compliance with import/export regulations
  • Liaise with suppliers, warehouses, and transport companies to ensure seamless operations
  • Track shipments, troubleshoot delays, and communicate updates
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery to customers
Documentation & Compliance
  • Prepare and manage all export documentation: invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, insurance certificates, bills of lading
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and internal systems
  • Upload supplier and freight invoices into the BSM system
  • Review freight invoices and process claims for damaged or faulty goods
General Admin & Communication
  • Manage internal logistics inbox and assign tasks/emails
  • Provide timely updates to internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Answer inbound calls and assist with ad-hoc duties
  • Contribute to improving supply chain processes and efficiencies
About You Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years in freight forwarding, shipping, or export logistics
  • Strong knowledge of INCOTERMS, Australian import/export laws, and customs procedures
  • Skilled in preparing export documentation and handling customs compliance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) – BSM system experience highly desirable
  • Highly organised with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a fast-paced team
