About the Role
We’re on the lookout for an experienced and capable Import Air Freight Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations at our Botany facility. You’ll take charge of a 10–15-person team, managing high volumes of inbound freight, ensuring compliance with Customs and AQIS regulations, and maintaining seamless service across multiple clients.
This role is ideal for someone who can think on their feet, thrives in a fast-moving logistics environment, and knows how to keep a team firing on all cylinders.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver daily KPIs and operational performance targets
- Oversee receiving, putaway, and processing of air freight
- Ensure accurate labour allocation to optimise efficiency and control costs
- Lead and mentor a team of warehouse staff to maintain high standards and productivity
- Manage compliance with Customs and AQIS regulations
- Promote and enforce OH&S practices to maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and meet client expectations
- Monitor workflow and adjust resources to meet changing demands
You’re a confident and proactive leader who thrives under pressure and keeps a cool head in a dynamic setting. You bring:
- 2+ years’ experience in a Warehouse Supervisor or Operations Manager role
- Strong background in air freight or logistics environments
- A current forklift licence and hands-on warehouse experience
- Familiarity with bonded warehouse compliance and customs procedures
- Proficiency in WMS and RF scanning systems
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- A safety-first mindset and the ability to lead by example
