About the Role
We're seeking a hands-on PM Warehouse Manager to lead daily operations in a fast-paced coatings and distribution facility. Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager, you'll oversee inbound/outbound logistics, stock control, team leadership, and safety compliance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants real ownership and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all warehouse operations – receiving, storage, dispatch
- Lead and mentor the team to meet KPIs and service benchmarks
- Drive inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and best practices
- Enforce OH&S standards and ensure a safe, compliant workspace
- Plan workloads, rotate tasks, and manage performance
- Report quality issues, discrepancies, and non-conforming products
- Maintain warehouse equipment and assets
- Collaborate closely with internal sales and branch teams
- Uphold high standards of product handling, customer service, and team culture
- Background in building products/supplies (e.g., aluminium, coatings, construction materials)
- Knowledge of paint line production and coating processes
- Hands-on experience working in and around overhead cranes
- Proven leadership of large warehouse/distribution teams
- Strong stock control and inventory systems knowledge
- Forklift licence and strong safety awareness
- Exposure to structured warehouse layouts and lean, efficient workflows (e.g., picking rack systems, continuous improvement environments)
Bonus Points for:
- Certificate III or IV in Warehousing Operations
- First Aid, Load Restraint, or Manual Handling training
- Familiarity with handheld scanners and location-based inventory tools
- Experience in anodising or powder coating environments
- Paint line production experience
- Forklift License
