You’ll join a passionate, tight-knit team that values integrity, collaboration, and people-first leadership.
About the Role
As Operations Manager, you'll be the heartbeat of the business—leading core functions including Centre Operations, HR, and Maintenance—ensuring the day-to-day hums and the future is well planned. This is more than an operations role. It’s a strategic and hands-on leadership position for someone ready to bring clarity, structure, and people development to a high-performing environment.
This role requires a leader who isn’t afraid to be on the ground, visible to the team, and known by name to families and clients. You’ll be first-name terms with the community you serve—present, approachable, and always leading by example.
You will be trusted to drive:
- Full-spectrum operational oversight across a seven-day service model
- Financial discipline and commercial decision-making (full P&L)
- Strategic workforce planning and team development
- Safety, compliance, and facility excellence
- Cultural leadership and values-based behaviour
We’re seeking a calm, capable, and highly engaged leader with a proven record of operational excellence in environments where kids, families, or the community come first.
You’ll bring:
- 5–7+ years in senior operations leadership, ideally within swim schools, sport, childcare, leisure, youth programs, or education
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic, high-traffic setting
- Strong financial acumen (P&L, budgeting, rostering)
- Proven change leadership across systems, processes, and culture
- A grounded, emotionally intelligent leadership style with a bias for collaboration and accountability
- A working knowledge of safety, child protection, and compliance frameworks
- Eligibility to obtain a Working With Children Check
Why Join?
- A respected, values-led organisation making a real difference
- A passionate team with strong ethics and team spirit
- Clear strategic vision and a culture of continuous improvement
- A leadership seat at the table, with autonomy and scope
- The chance to shape the next chapter of a thriving, loved community business
- Predictable five-day work week with flexibility and work-life rhythm
This is a unique leadership opportunity for someone with drive, heart, and a commitment to operational excellence. If you’re ready to lead from the front, connect deeply with your team and community, and be part of something meaningful—we’d love to hear from you.
