The Company
You’ll be joining a large, well-known Australian group with a national footprint and a strong reputation in its sector. This is a business that has continued to evolve, invest and grow, with a clear focus on performance, safety and long-term sustainability.
With a collaborative leadership team and a high-performing finance function, the organisation offers genuine career pathways across the wider group for those who are commercially minded and keen to step up over time.
This role is based full-time in the office at Essendon Fields (Monday to Friday).
The Role:
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this permanent full-time Finance Analyst role plays a key part in financial planning, forecasting and performance reporting across multiple business units.
You’ll work across both top-down and bottom-up planning processes, partnering with operational leaders and senior stakeholders to drive insight and performance.
Key responsibilities include:
• Lead the financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes (OPEX and CAPEX)
• Maintain and enhance segment reporting, linking operational drivers to financial outcomes
• Deliver KPI reporting and deep-dive variance analysis for senior management
• Support month-end processes including reporting, reconciliations and commentary
• Contribute to board reporting packs and management presentations
• Assist with investment modelling (IRR, payback analysis and business cases)
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and cost-saving programs
• Support statutory reporting, audit processes and year-end requirements
• Provide system support and ongoing improvement across reporting tools
This is a high-visibility role in a fast-paced environment, suited to someone who enjoys working to deadlines and being close to commercial decision-making.
The Candidate:
We’re looking for a commercially astute finance professional who enjoys getting into the detail but can also step back and see the bigger picture.
You will bring:
• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or CA qualification (or near completion)
• Proven experience in financial planning & analysis
• Strong systems exposure – ideally SAP and/or TM1
• Advanced Excel skills
• Highly developed analytical capability with the confidence to question and think laterally
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
You’ll be naturally proactive, comfortable working across multiple priorities and confident presenting financial insights to non-finance stakeholders. Experience within a large, multi-entity environment will be highly regarded.
The Benefits:
• Essendon Fields location – 5 days in the office
• Circa $130K–$140K package
• Permanent full-time opportunity
• CPA membership fully funded
• Exposure to senior leadership and board reporting
• Career progression opportunities within a large, established group
