“The team at Elements helped us see the bigger picture. Their benchmarking gave us clarity on where we stood in the market, and the training gave our staff more confidence in how they communicate with stakeholders. It’s had an immediate impact.”

Overview of Our Credit Team Project

Our client’s credit team had reached a point where both attraction and performance were under pressure. Recruiting new team members was proving difficult as salary levels sat below market expectations, making it hard to compete for quality candidates. Retention was also affected, with existing staff feeling limited by pay progression and development opportunities.

At the same time, the team had received feedback that their communication style, particularly in email exchanges with internal and external stakeholders, could be more polished and confident. While technically capable, the team wanted to strengthen how they represented the business and managed professional relationships.

The goal was clear to enhance the team’s ability to attract and retain talent while improving how they operated day to day. By combining recruitment insight with practical development, we aimed to create lasting change that would support both individual growth and organisational performance.

Approach

We conducted a full salary benchmarking exercise across relevant industry and regional data. This gave the business clear visibility of how their pay scales compared within the market, supporting informed decisions on salary adjustments and helping to position them more competitively for future hires.

Alongside recruitment support, we delivered an onsite workshop for the existing team. The session focused on using practical AI tools to improve the tone, clarity, and professionalism of email communication.

The aim was to help staff write with greater confidence and consistency when engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.

Conclusion

From the beginning, our focus was on creating practical solutions that would have lasting value for the business.

By combining data driven insight with skill development, we helped the client strengthen their ability to hire and retain talent while improving team performance.

The benchmarking gave leadership clarity and direction, while the training empowered staff to communicate with confidence.

Together, these steps created measurable improvements across both recruitment and day to day operations, showing how a considered, people first approach can deliver immediate and long term impact.
