Our client is a well-established and highly regarded organisation operating within the industrial/manufacturing sector with a strong presence. Known for their supportive team culture and stable operations, they are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable / Receivable Officer to join the finance team on a 3-month temporary assignment commencing Monday.
Located in St Marys, this role is fully office based with onsite parking available.
The Job
Reporting into the Finance Manager, this role will see you supporting both the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions within a busy finance team. Responsibilities will include:
- Processing and allocating daily customer receipts
- Collection of outstanding invoices and account follow-up
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Processing supplier invoices and preparing supplier payments
- Accounts payable invoice matching and coding
- Assisting with customer credit applications and account maintenance
- Preparing monthly statements and receivables reporting
- Managing account queries from customers and suppliers
- Supporting month-end processes including accruals and reconciliations
- Assisting with finance administration and reporting tasks as required
The Candidate
To be successful in this role you will be an organised and adaptable finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can confidently hit the ground running.
You will bring:
- Previous experience across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Strong reconciliation and data entry skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships internally and externally
- Intermediate Excel capability including formulas and reconciliations
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to support the wider team where needed
- Experience within manufacturing, industrial or product-based environments highly regarded
