We're partnering with a well-established, privately owned Australian business that has been a trusted leader in the import, manufacturing, and distribution of authentic Asian food and beverage products for decades. Supplying major retailers, wholesalers, and independent stores across Australia, they are now looking for an experienced Brand Manager to join their growing Marketing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of well-known brands, working closely with suppliers, retailers, and internal stakeholders to deliver strategic marketing initiatives that drive sales growth and brand awareness.
About the RoleReporting to the Head of Marketing, you'll be responsible for developing and executing advertising and promotional strategies, analysing market performance, managing campaigns, and identifying new opportunities to grow market share.
This is a highly commercial role where you'll work cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Operations, and external partners to deliver successful marketing outcomes while managing budgets and supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute annual advertising and promotional (A&P) plans
- Analyse sales performance, profitability, and market trends to identify growth opportunities
- Monitor stock movement and implement strategies to improve inventory performance
- Prepare monthly sales forecasts and gap analysis reporting
- Manage brand budgets and monitor campaign ROI
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and secure approval for marketing initiatives
- Coordinate trade marketing, consumer campaigns, and promotional activities
- Conduct market research and consumer insight analysis
- Identify new business opportunities and emerging market trends
- Manage promotional events, exhibitions, and in-store activations
- Oversee website content and digital brand presence
- Develop point-of-sale material, promotional assets, and marketing collateral
- Liaise with media partners and agencies to maximise advertising effectiveness
- Prepare post-campaign analysis and performance reporting using Power BI and internal systems
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Minimum 4 years' experience in Brand Management or Marketing within FMCG
- Previous experience within the food industry will be highly regarded
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing marketing budgets
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret sales and market data
- Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Strong organisational and project management abilities
- Experience managing multiple campaigns simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, and ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 (highly regarded)
