The Role
Reporting to the Credit Manager, this full-function role sees you managing a $12 million ledger across roughly 700 accounts. You'll have your finger on the pulse when it comes to collections, working closely with internal teams and customers to keep accounts tidy and cash flowing in. Here's a peek at your day:
- Making around 30 outbound collection calls per day (friendly, firm, and always professional)
- Sending out statements and reminders
- Cash allocations and reconciliations (you love a ledger that balances!)
- Running credit checks for new customers
- Resolving queries — you're the calm in the credit storm
- Processing invoices, payments, and the occasional credit note
This role would suit someone from a commercial credit background or someone from a consumer collections agency who’s ready to step up and take ownership of a ledger in a corporate setting. You’ll be supported every step of the way.
The Candidate
- Previous experience in credit collections — commercial or consumer
- Confidence to manage your own accounts and build rapport with customers
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Strong Excel skills — think VLOOKUPs and PivotTables, not just copy-paste
- Top-notch communication and a knack for negotiation
- $75K + Super + Bonus Potential (up to $2K per quarter for smashing team goals and reducing aged debt)
