A well-established, globally connected manufacturing business with a strong local presence in South West Sydney. This is a business with serious growth ambitions, targeting more than a doubling of revenue over the next five years through m&a activity, organic growth and expansion into new markets. The finance function is central to making that happen, and this role sits right at the heart of it.
The Role
This is not a scorekeeping role. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a genuinely commercial position sitting at the intersection of finance, strategy and operations. You will be the dedicated finance partner to the Commercial Director and the broader Sales and Marketing teams, with a mandate to challenge, govern and drive better commercial decision-making as the business scales aggressively.

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with Sales & Marketing to understand what is driving performance and translating that into clear, actionable financial insight
- Building scenario models and assessing the commercial viability of growth initiatives, protecting gross margin through a period of significant expansion
- Leading the commercial component of monthly Demand Review and S&OP processes, owning commercial inputs into group forecast & budget submissions
- Driving automation and self-service reporting through Power BI and emerging automation tools, freeing the team up for higher-value work
This role suits someone who is as comfortable on the floor talking to a sales & operations leaders as they are building a scenario model. You are commercially curious, analytically sharp, and you have the professional backbone to push back and challenge the status quo. Critically, you thrive in environments where the pace is fast and the stakes are real.
In addition to the above the succesful candidate will be someone who:
- Demonstrates advanced financial modelling skills, including ROI and volume breakeven
- Has a strong grasp of P&L drivers and gross-to-net margin mechanics
- Proficient in Power BI, with an appetite for automation and emerging technology
- Views AI and emerging technology as a strategic tool
- A no-surprises communicator who brings solutions, not just problems to stakeholders
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment where the pace of change is real
- CA or CPA qualified is ideal, though strong commercial acumen will be weighted heavily
- Manucturing, FMCG, Pharma, Retail, Logisitcs industry backgrounds will be highly regarded
Up to $150,000 + 5% bonus + superannuation.
