The Role
Reporting to the National Credit Manager, you'll manage your own ledger of approximately 1,000 active accounts, taking full ownership of the credit function from relationship management through to collections and account maintenance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a high-volume customer ledger and driving timely collections
- Building strong relationships with customers to proactively resolve outstanding accounts
- Reviewing credit applications and completing credit assessments
- Opening new customer accounts and maintaining accurate account records
- Investigating payment discrepancies and resolving account queries
- Performing daily allocations, receipting and account reconciliations
- Processing invoices and maintaining customer master data
- Preparing reports and providing insights into ledger performance
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to resolve disputes and improve cash flow outcomes
The Candidate
We're looking for an experienced Credit Officer who enjoys building relationships just as much as achieving collection targets. You'll bring:
- Previous experience managing your own end-to-end credit ledger
- Strong collections experience within a high-volume environment
- Confidence assessing credit applications and making sound commercial decisions
- Excellent reconciliation and problem-solving skills
- A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise competing demands
- Outstanding communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
- High attention to detail with a genuine sense of ownership over your portfolio
