An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated and customer focused Customer Service Representative to join a leading business in the industrial sector.
Based in Smithfield you’ll be part of a supportive, close-knit team that values communication, initiative, and a genuine passion for helping people.
You’ll be the key contact for customers, managing enquiries, providing technical support, and ensuring smooth order fulfillment. Your ability to build strong relationships and deliver exceptional service will make you an essential part of the team.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys collaborating, problem-solving, and being the go-to person for customers and colleagues.
The Position
- Be the first point of contact for customers; answering phone and email enquiries with professionalism and warmth
- Process and manage customer orders accurately via our internal system
- Handle customer queries and provide updates
- Work closely with our sales, warehouse, production, and accounts teams to ensure smooth and timely delivery
- Monitor stock levels and communicate ETA and availability clearly
- Support the sales team with admin tasks including account setup and compliance requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Strong customer service skills
- A friendly, confident phone manner and a positive attitude
- Attention to detail and solid organisation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple priorities
- A team player who’s also self motivated and proactive
- Tech-savvy familiar with MS Office and experience with Oracle or similar is a bonus
- Experience in an industrial or technical customer service environment is highly regarded
The Candidate
- Proven experience in a customer service, sales support, or order processing role
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to de-escalate and resolve customer concerns efficiently and professionally
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine customer-first mindset
- Ability to stay organised and meet deadlines in a fast paced, high volume environment
- A proactive attitude, with an eye for identifying areas for improvement and a willingness to suggest and implement changes
