The Role
This is a hands-on, high-impact position reporting to the Financial Controller. You'll be the go-to person for management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and most critically; product and standard costing across a manufacturing environment.
You'll be partnering with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams, digging into COGS, dissecting cost drivers, and helping the business make smarter decisions on pricing, efficiency, and margins.
What You'll Be Doing
- Monthly management accounts — P&L, balance sheet, and performance reporting with genuine commentary
- Costing and margin analysis — standard costing, BOMs, WIP and inventory valuation
- Budgeting and forecasting with a real focus on production costs and volumes
- Variance analysis across labour, materials, and overheads
- Month-end close — journals, accruals, reconciliations
- Continuous improvement across financial processes and ERP data integrity
- Supporting pricing decisions through modelling and scenario analysis
The candidate
- CA/CPA or progression towards
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar role manufacturing or FMCG exposure highly regarded
- Strong ERP and MS Office skills
- A curious, analytical mind that doesn't stop at the number. You want to know why
- Excellent communication skills and you can translate financials for non-finance stakeholders without breaking a sweat
