A globally recognised outdoor sports brand is seeking a capable Inventory & Logistics Specialist to join their Australian supply chain team.
Operating across multiple product categories and international markets, this business relies on a well-run supply chain to ensure product moves efficiently from global suppliers through to the Australian market. This role sits at the centre of that operation.
You will manage inbound freight, maintain inventory accuracy, and work closely with a third-party logistics (3PL) provider, freight partners, and global teams to ensure the supply chain runs smoothly and efficiently.
This position offers a hybrid work model, with time split between East Ryde, home, and a nearby 3PL warehouse, giving you visibility of the physical operation while maintaining flexibility.
The role suits someone who is calm under pressure, highly organised, analytically minded, and comfortable working in the complexity of a global business environment.
The Role
You will take ownership of key operational processes that keep inventory flowing accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinating inbound international freight and shipments to ensure stock arrives on time and in full
- Managing the day-to-day relationship with a third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse
- Monitoring inventory accuracy, stock levels and operational data
- Managing purchase orders, supplier confirmations and delivery schedules
- Reviewing warehouse performance, logistics costs, and operational KPIs
- Analysing supply chain data to identify trends, issues and opportunities for improvement
- Investigating and resolving inventory or delivery discrepancies
- Supporting forecasting and supply planning with accurate stock information
- Acting as a key operational contact between global teams, internal stakeholders and external partners
About You
You enjoy working in structured operational environments and take pride in keeping processes running smoothly.
- Experienced in supply chain, logistics, inventory or procurement roles
- Exposure to 3PL warehouse operations and freight coordination
- Strong analytical and data management skills, including solid Excel capability (Pivots etc)
- Experience using ERP or inventory management systems
- The ability to interpret operational data and make practical recommendations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Takes ownership of issues and investigates root causes
- Is comfortable working with operational data and using it to identify discrepancies, trends and opportunities for improvement
- Communicates clearly and confidently with both internal teams and external logistics partners to keep operations moving
- Remains calm and solutions-focused when operational challenges arise
- Works in a structured, organised and detail-oriented way
Experience working with international suppliers or within global organisations will be highly regarded.
