Are you the procurement person who walks into a business and thinks, “We can do this better”?
This is not a role for someone who simply manages POs, renews supplier contracts and keeps the wheels turning.
We’re looking for a commercially sharp Procurement Manager, killer negotiator and dynamic leader who can take ownership of procurement, challenge the status quo and help shape what great looks like.
With a new executive team and a clear focus on growth, this is your opportunity to step in, assess what’s working, challenge what isn’t and build a smarter, more commercially effective procurement function.
The Opportunity
You’ll lead procurement across ANZ, taking ownership of sourcing, supplier performance, negotiations, purchasing governance and commercial outcomes.
You’ll work closely with the new executive leadership team and key stakeholders across Supply Chain, Sales, Operations, Finance, Quality and Customer Service — bringing commercial thinking, energy and fresh ideas to the table.
Your mandate?
Improve it. Challenge it. Negotiate harder. Find better ways of doing it.
You’ll have genuine scope to influence processes, supplier strategy, systems and ways of working rather than simply inheriting a procurement playbook and following it.
What you’ll be doing
- Own and execute procurement and sourcing strategies across key spend categories
- Lead high-value supplier negotiations across pricing, terms, service and contracts
- Identify new and alternative suppliers to improve competitiveness and reduce supply risk
- Drive supplier performance, accountability, service levels and commercial outcomes
- Lead tenders, commercial reviews, renewals and sourcing initiatives
- Identify and deliver cost savings, margin improvement and supply efficiencies
- Challenge existing processes and introduce smarter, more disciplined ways of working
- Improve procurement governance, purchasing controls, data and reporting
- Use procurement data, market intelligence and supplier insights to make better commercial decisions
- Lead and develop a small Procurement team, providing coaching, direction and accountability
- Support D365 optimisation and broader systems/process improvement
We’re looking for someone with energy, commercial nous and the confidence to make things happen.
You’ll ideally bring:
- 5+ years’ procurement, strategic sourcing or senior purchasing experience
- Experience operating at Procurement Manager or senior procurement level
- Outstanding negotiation skills — you know how to get the best commercial outcome without destroying the supplier relationship
- Strong experience across supplier management, sourcing, tenders and commercial reviews
- Ideally, a background in commercial plastic packaging, packaging, manufacturing, distribution, FMCG or a similar environment
- Demonstrated success delivering cost savings, efficiencies or improved supplier performance
- Experience leading, coaching or developing a small team
- Strong commercial and analytical capability
- ERP experience — D365 is highly regarded
- The confidence to challenge senior stakeholders and suppliers when necessary
- A genuine continuous-improvement mindset
We want someone who gets things done.
Someone who doesn’t accept “that’s how we’ve always done it” as an answer.
You’ll be comfortable getting into the detail, asking difficult questions, negotiating hard, bringing people with you and then actually implementing the change.
You’ll need to be dynamic, commercially hungry, pragmatic and solutions-focused.
You’ll also need the maturity to know when to push, when to listen and when to bring the team with you.
This is a genuine opportunity to make your mark.
You’ll have the backing the executive team, the opportunity to reshape procurement practices and the autonomy to identify where the business can do better — commercially, operationally and strategically.
If you’re a Procurement Manager who wants to own the outcome rather than simply manage the process, this could be your next move.
