Lead procurement strategy, supplier performance and commercial outcomes across ANZ. An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a growing organisation based in Queensland.
This is a key leadership role responsible for driving procurement strategy, sourcing, supplier management and purchasing governance across ANZ. You’ll play an important role in strengthening supplier performance, improving commercial outcomes, supporting tenders and new business opportunities, and identifying opportunities to reduce cost and supply risk.
Reporting to the General Manager of Supply Chain, you’ll lead a Procurement function while partnering closely with Supply Planning, Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Quality, Finance and other key stakeholders.
About the role:
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing sourcing strategies across key spend categories, including identifying cost levers and longer-term procurement opportunities
- Leading, coaching and developing the Procurement team, with responsibility for capability, accountability and performance
- Leading procurement negotiations across tenders, quotes, renewals, pricing reviews and commercial agreements
- Supporting tenders, customer proposals and contract renewals with supplier pricing, lead time, capability, risk and supply insights
- Developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships, including performance reviews, issue escalation and commercial negotiations
- Identifying and qualifying new and alternative suppliers to improve competitiveness, reduce supply risk and provide contingency options
- Driving supplier performance across lead times, service levels, order accuracy, forecast alignment and supply reliability
- Managing procurement governance, purchasing controls, approval pathways, supplier terms and purchasing parameters
- Identifying cost, service, quality and process improvement opportunities across the supplier network
- Monitoring supplier markets, cost drivers, pricing movements, capability and emerging supply risks
- Using procurement, spend and supplier data to provide actionable commercial insights and recommendations to leadership
- Driving continuous improvement across procurement processes, reporting, data governance and systems, including D365 optimisation
- Ensuring procurement activities support strong governance, compliance, risk management and business objectives
We’re looking for an experienced procurement professional who can operate strategically while remaining hands-on.
You will ideally bring:
- 5+ years’ experience across procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supplier management or contract management
- Proven experience in a Procurement Manager or senior procurement role
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, prioritisation and performance management
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with the ability to deliver measurable procurement value
- Experience supporting tenders, customer proposals, contract renewals and sourcing initiatives
- Strong supplier relationship and vendor performance management capability
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret spend, pricing, supplier, contract and cost data
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across Sales, Operations, Finance, Supply Planning and other functions
- A proactive and commercially minded approach to identifying cost, service and supply improvement opportunities
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to procurement governance, process discipline and accurate data
- Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools; D365 experience will be highly regarded
