The Position
As a hands-on, results-driven Project Manager, you will manage a small portfolio of high-priority projects at any given time. You will take ownership from tender through to completion, leading end-to-end project development, coordinating trades and stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of assigned projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate all works, managing trades, subcontractors, and specialist teams to achieve project objectives efficiently
- Perform due diligence on assets and project portfolios to inform decision-making, assessing risks, opportunities, costs, and timelines
- Prepare and maintain all project documentation, including compliance requirements such as CEMP, WHS, Traffic Management Plans, and SWMS
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, safety, and adherence to project specifications
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, keeping all parties informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle
- Contribute to the development and implementation of business cases, project strategies, and delivery methodologies to ensure well-planned and high-impact projects
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and optimise project outcomes
- Prepare and deliver final project documentation and client reports at practical completion
The Candidate
- Proven track record in civil engineering or project management, ideally delivering mid tier- large scale infrastructure projects
- Hands-on, delivery-focused, with strong ownership and accountability for driving projects to successful outcomes
- Experienced in leading small teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders to keep projects on track
- Skilled in relationship management, clear communication, negotiation, and resolving complex project issues
- Highly organised, adaptable, and able to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering materials, construction methods, compliance requirements, and health & safety standards
- Competent in Microsoft Office and familiar with project management software for planning, scheduling, and reporting
