The Company
Join a global industrial manufacturing business supplying technical products to customers across multiple industries.
Based in Smithfield, this is an excellent opportunity for a Technical Customer Service Representative with experience in industrial products, manufacturing, engineering, or technical distribution to become part of a collaborative and supportive team.
Working closely with sales, production, warehouse, and logistics, you will play a key role in ensuring customers receive accurate product information, reliable order processing, and exceptional service. If you enjoy working with technical products, solving problems, and building strong customer relationships, this role offers a great long-term career path within a stable and growing organisation.
The Role
In this fast-paced and hands-on role, you will:
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, managing phone and email enquiries
- Process customer orders for industrial products accurately through the internal ERP system
- Provide technical product support and order updates
- Liaise with sales, warehouse, production, and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery
- Monitor stock availability and production lead times
- Communicate ETAs and product availability clearly to customers
- Support the sales team with customer account setup, documentation, and compliance
You will bring:
- Strong customer service and order processing experience
- Experience supporting technical, industrial, or engineered products
- A confident and professional phone manner
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team collaboration skills
- Solid computer skills including MS Office
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle or similar) is highly regarded
- Has experience in customer service, internal sales, or sales support within industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or technical industries
- Enjoys problem solving and supporting customers with technical enquiries
- Can manage high-volume orders and customer requests efficiently
- Communicates clearly with customers, sales teams, and operations
- Takes a proactive approach to improving processes and customer experience
