The Company:
Join a large-scale national organisation operating within a complex, high-volume, compliance-driven workforce environment supporting nationwide service delivery sectors. With a large operational workforce and weekly payroll cycles across multiple EBAs, this is a fast-paced environment requiring strong technical payroll capability and attention to detail.
The Position:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to manage end-to-end weekly payroll processing for approximately 1,700 employees. This is a full-function payroll role requiring strong manual interpretation of EBAs and EAs and the ability to perform payroll calculations without system reliance. Payroll is processed weekly on a Wednesday, therefore availability to work Monday–Wednesday is essential.
- End-to-end processing of weekly payroll (1,700 employees)
- Manual interpretation of EBAs and EAs
- Calculation of allowances, penalties, and overtime without system reliance
- Ensuring accurate and timely weekly payroll completion
- Resolving payroll discrepancies and employee queries
- Maintaining compliance with industrial instruments and legislation
- Supporting reporting, reconciliation, and data integrity
The Candidate:
- Strong end-to-end payroll experience in complex environments
- Confident interpreting EBAs and EAs manually
- Ability to perform payroll calculations independently of system automation
- High attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
- Available Monday–Wednesday weekly (essential)
- High-volume workforce payroll experience highly regarded.
